My favourite places in Paris
You can’t go to Paris and not see the Eiffel tower! It would be a crime if you didn’t see it (you don’t even need to climb it!). Each and every time I go to Paris I will visit the Eiffel tower, and this time I even managed to visit it twice. One sunny day and one not so sunny day… either way I got some great photos! Top tip: Winter is the best time to climb it because there are hardly any crowds, well nothing compared to summer! The only downside is the weather might not be as perfect as you might have imagined it.
Le Marais... this is an area that I always visit when I come to Paris, I just love it! Every little street and alleyway is just so beautiful and you nearly want to take photos every minute. This is the sort of place where you go to relax and wander the streets to browse the little boutique stores or sit at a terrace for a drink or two. My favourite discovery of this trip (which I'm sure isn't actually a discovery to anyone who knows Paris) was 'Place des Vosges', it was truly beautiful and just perfectly manicured.
Of course another main tourist attraction, but it’s popular for a reason. It gets incredibly busy but the ambience is great. Perfect for an afternoon to just wander the great street and do a little shopping, or at worst window shopping! You’ll be rewarded at the end by 'L’arc de Triomphe' which it in itself is a site worth seeing!
The Louvre... this probably doesn't need much explaining at all. But for me, it isn't the Louvre itself that I love (I've done that once and me being not a huge art fanatic I don't feel the need to rush back), but it's the surrounding area and buildings that I love, it is all so Parisian! Plus, just near the Louvre there is the 'Museum of Arts Decorative' which I always find fun! This time they had an exhibition on 'Barbie' which was actually amazing!
