my last visit to Aix-en-Provence
One week to go with the 'working' part of my 'working' holiday and I'm pretty dam excited to be on the road again with proper travel! But before I leave I wanted to make sure that I went back to visit Aix-en-Provence, one of my favourite towns in France I would say. So last week I decided to head back for one last time before I leave, making it my third visit in the three months I've been working here.
But this time it had a very different vibe to the previous times. Instead of it being super hot and very south-of-France-esque, it was much cooler and the Christmas lights were out! I did the usual, a day out wandering the streets, popping into shops (buying only some gloves and a long-sleeved shirt from Zara) and then having double afternoon tea while reading my book. I just love this town, it is so cute and there are so many young people around and so may cool places to eat and chill... so to be honest that's what most of my day is like. Shops and then lunch (I found the cutest little Italian place that was packed with locals, plus not expensive at all!) and then wandered around again and then back for afternoon tea at my favourite frozen yoghurt place before it cooled down and deciding an hour later that it was time for a hot chocolate and a biscuit with my book in hand. Basically just a relaxed day away from the house, and this is just a little random blog post to show you what I get up to on my days off and how cute Aix is!
